What if you could use Bitcoin ETFs for your investment needs?
That is exactly what one bitcoin investor is trying to do.
He started a bitcoin ETF called Pton in 2014 and is raising funds for its creation through a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.
Investors are encouraged to contribute to the Pton Bitcoin ETF as soon as they get the opportunity.
The fund has raised more than $1.8 million so far.
“Our goal is to help people invest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology and enable people to earn income in this digital currency,” Mr Zegler said.
Mr Zeglers goal is simple.
It’s to create an index of bitcoin stocks that can be traded on an exchange like Bittrex.
Currently, the bitcoin ETF is listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and can be purchased with bitcoin, bitcoin cash, ether or other cryptocurrencies.
There is currently no way to trade it on the stock exchange and the fund will only be available to those who contribute to its crowdfunding campaign.
What’s more, Mr Zeklers investment strategy is simple: “I want to make a digital currency that can replace fiat currencies,” he said.
“If you can’t make that dream a reality, I think you can make a good one with bitcoin.”
